h a double-l o w double-e n spells...

Halloween! We had a pretty low-key holiday because Thomas had to work most of the day. When he got home we had chili for dinner and watched "scary" movies (I don't like ones that are actually very scary, so we picked out some from the 50s that really weren't scary at all). We didn't have any trick-or-treaters because our apartment complex is kind of hidden, and it's in a college neighborhood, so there aren't a lot of little kids around. We didn't have any last year either, though, so we weren't counting on any. We did get to make jack-o-lanterns a few days ago, which was really fun. I made your generic scary face, while Thomas made Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. They turned out pretty well!

Also, Thomas's play was last weekend! He did great! I'm glad it's finally over, though. It's nice to have him around in the evening. :)

  1. 1) That scary face is anything but generic.
    2) I still haven't seen The Nightmare before Christmas (sad, I know)
    3) I walked into a Halloween party in my apartment building w/o a costume on and got a bunch of weird looks from people. I proceeded to load up a couple paper plates with pizza, donuts, and cookies, and then I walked out.
