Halloween

I'm way behind in blogging, so my next several posts will all be old things as I catch up.

As always, we had a lot of fun celebrating Halloween throughout October. We read many Halloween books, had a fantastic Halloween party, went to a pumpkin patch with Jamie's preschool, carved jack-o-lanterns, went to additional parties at the library and Jamie's preschool, and, of course, went trick-or-treating and ate too much candy. Halloween itself was a cold, blustery, drizzly day. We consequently only ended up trick-or-treating for about half an hour, at which point it started raining a little too hard. But before we had to cut it short, Jamie was super cute, exclaiming, "Happy Halloween 2014!" at each house we went to. At almost every house we visited, people encouraged Jamie to take extra candy, so he still ended up with plenty even though we weren't out very long.

He drew his own face for me to cut this year.
